Hey, I have been very fortunate to acquire a mac mini (first time mac user) I work (corporate) for Comp....and I snagged one of the 4 that have come into one of our locations. The wait is endless to get one, and we have only received the 'stripped' version. (256 and no airport card, GRRRR) I bought an airport extreme card and a gig.......the memory is easy to install...........but where the heck does the airport card go.......Help...please. oh BTW.....the apple stores will not install an airport card...just memory upgrades. Which really sucks...because I was told it wouldnt be a problem. SO...Dont buy one and think the wireless card can be installed after....I just wanna be wireless...Does anyone know? I know where I wanted to put the card when they refused to do it.....imagine AND....it is awesome, I am really glad that I bought it
The Airport Extreme Card and Bluetooth Upgrade Kit allows your Mac mini to communicate with local AirPort Extreme networks or other Wi-Fi certified 802.11b or 802.11g networks, including earlier versions of Apple's AirPort Base Station. AirPort Extreme-enabled computers that join an AirPort or other 802.11b wireless network can achieve data. The mid-2007 Mac mini (model A1176) was a very interesting update for the Mac mini, because it got upgraded to a Core 2 Duo processor. There is however one thing that should also have been upgraded, but wasn’t (for some strange reason – cost reduction?): the AirPort card; that stayed a WiFi-B/G compatible one only even though all other Macs had WiFi-B/G/N at that time. Learn how to use AirPort Express, AirPort Extreme, and AirPort Time Capsule. Find all the topics, resources, and contact options you need for AirPort. This means that you can say goodbye to the convenience and reliability of Apple’s AirPort Express, Airport Extreme and AirPort Time Capsule devices. The future of the Mac Pro and Mac mini is.
